Five zones of pocketed coils under gel-infused foam give the Aura the trick every all-rounder chases: support that doesn't read as firmness. It posted the best motion isolation score we've measured (9.3) — a phone alarm buzzing on one side barely registers on the other — and its +1.4°C temperature rise means the 3am hot-sleeper wake-up mostly stops happening. Organic mattresses usually ask you to pay double and take performance on faith. The Nature's Novel benched like a premium hybrid anyway: the coolest surface of all twelve (+1.1°C), off-gassing cleared in under 24 hours, and a natural latex response that our back and stomach sleepers rated highest of the group. You pay for the certificates — just not with sleep quality.

Lori sells one mattress, in one firmness, with no configurator maze — and the focus shows. At $699 a queen it beat foam beds at twice the price on plain comfort for side and back sleepers, and a lifetime warranty is unheard of in this tier. It runs the warmest of our picks (+2.6°C) and the edges sag under a seated adult; for one sleeper on a budget, nothing else is close.

Why isn't a $2,000 luxury brand at #1?
Because we rank measured sleep outcomes against price, not brand tier. Above roughly $1,100 the bench data flattens out — you buy branding and marginal materials, not better motion isolation or cooling. The Aura sits where the curve bends.
Thirty nights isn't ten years. How do you judge durability?
Directly, we can't — so we run an accelerated sag bench (a weighted roller, 60,000 passes) as a proxy, weigh warranties heavily, and re-verify every pick at least every 60 days. Two models were removed from this list in July for failing the sag check.
Do brands pay to be here?
No. We buy every mattress ourselves and partners never see rankings before publication. Affiliate links share the same rank order as the free page — always.
